A list of “duh” moments that people seem to get wrong anyway…
  • When you hire someone, make sure that person is qualified.

  • Don’t hire unqualified relatives, friends, and mistresses.

  • When you recognize and reward employees, do it fairly

  • Don’t expect more than you’re willing to give

  • When you fail, admit it.

  • When someone fails, don’t go ballistic

and much more!  Check it out, at…

    Arbejdsglæd

    Arbejdsglæd

    From Techcrunch:

When workers achieve arbejdsglæd, the business benefits from higher productivity, because happy people achieve better results; higher quality, because happy employees care about quality; lower absenteeism, because people actually want to go to work; and less stress and burnout, because happy people are less susceptible to stress. Not surprisingly, all of this leads to higher sales, better customer satisfaction, more creativity, and higher profits for the business.”

Another important lesson: You always get to pick the way you see the world.”

In other words, lets try to keep work a happy place & always remember that you’re in control of your attitude.

Even adult film stars don’t want to go to work some days!

    - Mike Siano (MLB’s Fantasy411 Podcast)

I really love this quote.  I think it’s invaluable to remember for yourself and for dealing with others.  Nobody in the world is going to be perfectly happy EVERY day!  That’s an unreasonable burden to put on yourself and your peers.

It’s perfectly alright to have a bad day from time to time… But don’t let your bad day turn into a bad week, turn into a bad month, turn into a bad year!  If it starts to, stop yourself and think about what’s really going on.
